Oregon Emergency Services Working to Improve Response Capabilities

Oregon emergency services are enhancing their response capabilities with the introduction of Genasys Protect, an advanced evacuation management software. Deployed statewide, this tool aids in efficiently mapping hazard zones and issuing timely evacuation notices, potentially reducing notification times by up to 30 minutes. Union County has been using the software since mid-July and is now setting up local hazard zones for public access. The statewide rollout aims to standardize evacuation procedures, improving coordination across Oregon’s 36 counties and nine tribes.
