The Union County Senior Center in La Grande has received a $30,000 grant from the Wildhorse Foundation. The funding will help start a major safety improvement project, including repaving the parking lot. Future upgrades will enhance lighting and sidewalks. The Wildhorse Foundation, founded by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, has awarded over $17 million to various community projects since 2001.
