The Blue Mountains Conservancy in La Grande is set to enhance its Heritage Pond Property with a new yurt, thanks to a $12,000 grant from the Wildhorse Foundation. The yurt will facilitate year-round educational activities, offering shelter from the wind and a warm space during winter. While the grant covers the yurt’s cost, an additional $5,000 is needed for the platform. Donations are now being solicited.
