A Sunday afternoon vehicle crash on Island Avenue at Riddle Road in La Grande disabled the traffic lights at the intersection. A 2011 Ford F150 and a 2021 Chrysler mini-van collided when the mini-van turned in front of the F150, causing the truck to veer off the road and damage the traffic control box. No injuries were reported. The Oregon Department of Transportation is working on repairs, but it may take several days to restore full functionality. In the meantime, temporary signage is in place. Drivers are advised to use caution and follow the temporary traffic controls.
