Wildfire Shuts Down Area Highway

A significant wildfire forced the closure of Highway 20 in Malheur County. The Little Valley Fire near Harper, Oregon, sparked by a storm cell, has grown rapidly to 4,000 acres, threatening two structures. With nine engines and multiple aircraft on site, including air tankers and helicopters dropping retardant and water, crews are working to contain the blaze. A smaller fire near Morgan Mountain was swiftly controlled.
