The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation are celebrating the completion of the Minam River Wildlife Area. Spanning over 15,573 acres initially, with plans to expand, this area becomes Oregon’s fifth largest wildlife sanctuary. It’ significant due to its connectivity to neighboring wilderness areas and the opportunities it offers for outdoor activities like camping, fishing, and hunting.
