Hunters Urged to Test Deer and Elk for Cwd

The Oregon Hunters Association is urging hunters to test their deer and elk for Chronic Wasting Disease this season. Those who submit a test from a harvested animal between now and April 1, 2025, will be entered to win hunting gear, including a Howa 1500 .223 rifle or a Sig Sauer scope. Testing can be done at designated CWD check stations, participating processors, or ODFW offices. Chronic Wasting Disease has not yet been detected in Oregon, but early testing is vital for monitoring and prevention. For more details, visit the ODFW website.
