La Grande’s new bicycle pump track construction has been delayed until October due to staff changes with the primary contractor. Originally set to begin in August, the project faced setbacks after key staff departures. A new subcontractor has now been brought on board. The collaborative project, funded in part by a $75,000 grant and additional fundraising, aims to build a state-of-the-art pump track in partnership with the Blue Mountain Single Track Trails Club. Construction is now expected to wrap up by late fall.
