Oregon is implementing new Clean Truck Rules that lawmakers admit is an attempt to increase sales of zero-emission trucks. Starting with the 2025 model year, the regulations mandate that manufacturers sell a certain percentage of zero-emission vehicles each year, based on truck class and size. It’s modeled after California’s regulations, and targets any new on-road vehicle over 8,500 pounds.
