The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife says if you have been thinking about trying to get in one last ice fishing trip this season, forget about it. Ice conditions on most bodies of water have deteriorated, and they did it pretty fast. They say some waterbodies that were safe for ice fishing just a few weeks ago now pose a serious risk. To be safe, they now say you should just wait for the ice to completely thaw and then take up traditional fishing.
