Soroptimist International of La Grande distributed over $41,000 to local organizations during a recent luncheon event. Recipients included Art Center East, Child Care Resource and Referral, and the Girl Scouts of Oregon, among others. The organization aims to empower women and girls through education and resources. Funds are still available for qualifying projects based in Union County.
