Firefighters from Oregon are heading to Texas to combat raging wildfires. The Oregon Department of Forestry has deployed a strike team of 16 firefighters from the Northeast Oregon District. This mutual assistance allows Oregon to lend help when wildfire activity is low at home, and reciprocate when local capacity is overwhelmed.
