The Wallowa County Sheriff’s Office reports that the cause of a plane crash, which injured two local men, remains uncertain. Brian Rahn and John Wick, both from the Joseph area, were hurt when Rahn’s small plane went down on January 26. The iPhone’s built-in feature automatically dialed 911 after detecting the impact. Wallowa County Undersheriff Billy Wells says they’re unsure if the cause will ever be determined. The plane remains where it crashed due to rough terrain and winter conditions, with plans to remove it this spring.
