A young man from La Grande was arrested for assault and trying to fight police. 19-year-old Joseph Porras of La Grande is now in the Union County jail and facing multiple charges after a domestic disturbance at a home on 2nd street near La Grande High that happened on Saturday night. He now faces charges including Assault; Domestic assault; Burglary; Criminal Mischief; Disorderly Conduct; and Resisting Arrest.
