A domestic dispute resulted in the arrest of a man from La Grande. Police were called to Jefferson Avenue in La Grande by a female who said that she’d been assaulted with a “bat.” Police arrived to find the victim bleeding from a wound on the back of her head. Her attacker was said to be 60 year old Nicholaus Devine of La Grande, who she said was her ex-husband. Despite the fact that they were divorced, the two still lived together. Devine was charged with Assault, Domestic Violence, and for being a felon in Possession of a Firearm. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
