As part of its efforts to expand and improve the Riverside Park Greenway Trail, La Grande Parks and Recreation’ urban forestry division has planted more than fifty native and trees and shrubs along the greenway. The plan is for the trees and shrubs to provide a natural privacy screen between the trail and nearby properties. The growth will also provide a habitat for wildlife. More trees and shrubs will be planted soon.
